In celebration of its 45th edition, the organizers of the Nagoya Smile Marathon will host a special edition of the Nagoya Smile Marathon series at Toyota Stadium in Aichi Prefecture. Beginners to advanced runners are invited to learn about running from professionals and receive advice from specialty staff! Want to take your running to the next level? Just want a few tips on improving your training? Don’t miss this great opportunity to maximize your running potential and learn from the experts!

Whether you run for health, fitness or as a hobby, running is becoming increasingly popular among people of all ages and levels of athleticism. More than just a great way to relieve stress, running is a simple exercise you can complete just about anywhere. People enjoy running for a variety of reasons but as with any sports and strenuous physical activity, running is best completed with proper technique, training methods, and general knowledge.

Please note that all staff are Japanese speakers; while they will do their best to advise in English, there will be no special accommodations made for non-Japanese speakers.

Before registering, it is important to know the following about the Toyota Smile Marathon:
・Course involves several loops around Toyota Stadium
・Water stations will be available after each loop
・Finishing time will be recorded with individual timing chips
・Samurai Sports staff will not be at the Toyota Smile Marathon on the day of the event

Entry Fees Before Dec 22, 2019
30KM (High School students and above) ¥4,000
Half Marathon (High School students and above) ¥3,500
10K (Middle School students and above) ¥3,000

・ No refunds or credits will be issued. This applies to incidents in which the event is cancelled for any reason including personal participant circumstances of the participant (including illness and injury) and incidents in which the event is cancelled due to unforeseen weather conditions or natural disasters.
・ Event entries are non-transferable. Any person doing so will be held responsible in case of an accident arising from or provoked by the other person during the event. Participants determined to be violating this policy will be disqualified without a refund. The event organizers will reserve the right to exclude both parties from future events.
・You will not sue the event organizers nor its affiliates (including Samurai Sports) for any injury or death caused during the event.
・ You consent to and will give all authorities and copyright to the event organizer and affiliates for the use of photography, motion pictures, articles, recordings or any other record of this event (including personal information such as name, age, gender, personal record, portrait, and etc.) for legitimate purposes and use in newspapers, TV, magazines, internet and any media publishing such as Facebook posts, Instagram posts, and pamphlets.

・ Those participating and coming from abroad should be enrolled in medical and/or travel insurance in case of accident, injury, and medical emergencies.
・ Before signing up, please carefully read all rules and regulations of the event. If the rules and regulations cannot be followed, participation may be denied by the event organizers. If anything is unclear, please do not hesitate to contact us - it is your responsibility to be prepared.

Athlete Guides
・In most cases, athlete guides in English will be sent via email approximately 7-21 days before the event. However, the delivery of athlete guides is entirely dependent on the timeliness of the event organizers. Samurai Sports takes approximately one to two days from receipt of the Japanese athlete guide to translate into English.

Service Charge
・If registration fee is ¥10,000 or less, you will incur a flat fee service charge of ¥1,000.
・If registration fee is ¥10,001 or more, you will incur a service charge amounting to 10% of total cost.
