Shiga Kougen (aka Shiga Highlands) is a popular destination for ski resorts and hot springs, but it is also home to fantastic cycling routes! Although the initial hill climb is a challenge, you won't regret the spectacular picture-perfect view of autumn in Japan. Look forward to the aid stations with Shiga Kougen's delicacies that will be prepared specifically for this race. While you're there, visit the famous snow monkeys at the Snow Monkey Park, various hiking trails, and of course, the Onsen Village just to name a few.

・If total cost is ¥5,000 or less, you will incur a flat fee service charge of ¥500.
・If total cost is more than ¥5,000, you will incur a service charge amounting to 10% of total cost.
Those participating and coming from abroad must be enrolled in medical and/or travel insurance in case of accident, injury, and medical emergencies.
Before signing up, please carefully read all rules and regulations of the event. If the rules and regulations cannot be followed, participation may be denied by the event organizers. If anything is unclear, please do not hesitate to contact us - it is your responsibility to be prepared.
・ No refunds or credits will be issued. This applies to incidents in which the event is cancelled for any reason including personal participant circumstances of the participant (including illness and injury) and incidents in which the event is cancelled due to unforeseen weather conditions or natural disasters.
・Event entries are non-transferable. Any person doing so will be held responsible in case of an accident arising from or provoked by the other person during the event. Participants determined to be violating this policy will be disqualified without a refund. The event organizers will reserve the right to exclude both parties from future events.
・You will not sue the event organizers nor its affiliates (including Samurai Sports) for any injury or death caused during the event.
・ You consent to and will give all authorities and copyright to the event organizer and affiliates for the use of photography, motion pictures, articles, recordings or any other record of this event (including personal information such as name, age, gender, personal record, portrait, and etc.) for legitimate purposes and use in newspapers, TV, magazines, internet and any media publishing such as Facebook posts, Instagram posts, and pamphlets.
・ Please ensure you have lodging and transportation plans figured out BEFORE registering for this event.
1. Please check that your bicycle conforms with the event regulations and follows all safety requirements listed by the event organizers. We will send you a safety check list 2 weeks prior to the event, which you will need to print, sign, and hand in to reception on race day.
2. All bicycles must have brakes in BOTH the front and rear.
3. Mandatory items include front and rear lights, helmet, and gloves.
4. Strongly recommended items include a rain jacket, windbreaker, spare tube, and tools to fix a flat.

Single gear bicycles with equipped free-hub front and rear breaks
Regular city bicycles
Handlebar end grips

Bicycles with no brakes
DH/aero bars and clip on handle bars
