Race lightning fast from the highest point of the Mt. Taisetsu Trail Journey course at 1,771m (5,810ft) on the northern side of the Taisetsuzan mountain range! At around 1,560m (5,118ft), you’ll come across Tenguudake to be greeted by a 360-degree panorama view of Hokkaido’s rolling hills in infinite shades of green. Both the 40KM and 70KM courses stretch across the Daisetsuzan National Park and offer serene scenes of Mt. Kurodake, Mt. Asahidake, and the vast farmlands of Hokkaido.
Starting 2019, the race name has changed from the Mt. Taisetsu Ultra Trail to the Mt. Taisetsu Trail Journey. In addition, the longest distance will be 70KM. Different from years prior, the Mt. Taisetsu Trail Journey now offers a 70KM course, the return of the 40KM course, and junior trail challenges at 5KM and 10KM. In the future, there will be a 100KM ultra trail every four years; the next one is scheduled in 2022 to celebrate the tenth edition of the Mt. Taisetsu Trail Journey.
None of these courses will be easy; however, the satisfaction you will feel when you cross the finish will be unforgettable.

・In most cases, athlete guides in English will be sent via email approximately 1 to 3 weeks before the event. However, the delivery of athlete guides is entirely dependent on the timeliness of the event organizers. Samurai Sports takes approximately one to two days from receipt of the Japanese athlete guide to translate into English.
・Races organized by Fields include the following charges in this order: (a) entry/registration fee + (b) a flat rate ¥1,000 English support fee (by request from Fields) + (c) Samurai Sports’ service charge (¥1,000 up to ¥10,000; 10% of entry/registration fee above ¥10,001).
・The amounts reflected above and in Samurai Sports’ information are inclusive of all three parts, namely (a), (b), and (c). This is the final sum you should expect your credit card to be charged for one (1) entry/registration without additional add-ons.
・Why does Samurai Sports implement a service charge? They help us cover the cost of operating the registration platform, translation of athlete guides/event information, labor hours required to answer your event inquiries, etc. Depending on the event, the surcharges help to cover the cost of our physical presence at the event.
・All registrations must read through the "Remarks" section of the event listing (http://samuraisports.org/event/taisetsutrail/). You are responsible for reading through each section carefully.
